If you want to say that something hurts in Spanish, you use ME DUELE or ME DUELEN. These are impersonal verbs which refer back to the part of the body and not the person. It literally means 'it is hurting to me' and 'they are hurting to me'. Me duele is used with singular parts of the body and me duelen with plural parts.
