There are very few genuinely "irregular" verbs in German (see separate section for "Strong verbs"). Here are the most important ones:
1. sein (to be) is completely irregular
2. haben (to have) is only irregular in the du and er forms, where it loses its "b".
3. werden (to become + used for future tense) is only irregular in the du and er forms.
4. nehmen (to take) is only irregular in the du and er forms where it replaces the "h" with another "m", and has a vowel change.
5. wissen (to know (a fact) is irregular in the ich, du and er forms - vowel change and ß.
